Tutorials Configuring Wi-Fi (Windows)
For the Wi-Fi to work, the connection profile must use WPA2 Personal
Requirements
To be able to register your devices on the MiNET network, you will need to add your MAC addresses to your account. If you don’t know how to enter them, feel free to follow the tutorial Adding Wi-Fi devices to your MiNET account, which will show you how to proceed.
Configuration
- Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings
- Go to the Network and Sharing Center
- Click “Set up a new connection or network”
- Click “Manually connect to a wireless network”
- Fill in the “Network name” field with “MiNET” and “Security type” with “WPA2 - Personal”
- Confirm with “Next”
- If a message tells you the network already exists, please have your device forget the network before starting this procedure again
- Click “Change connection settings”
- In the “Security” tab, click “Settings”
- Go back to the “Security” tab and go to “Advanced settings”
- Check “Specify authentication mode”, and in the list choose “User authentication”
- Click “Save credentials” and enter the password you generated on the member portal to connect to the MiNET network
- You can confirm everything with OK and close these windows, you should now be connected!
