In the window that just opened, do the following:

  • Validate the change by clicking on “OK”.
Once this service is activated, you can connect to a network using the 802.1X authentication method. You now have to configure your network card.

In the window that just opened, do the following:

  • Right-click on your wired network card (you can identify it thanks to its brand: Intel, Asus, D-Link…).
  • Click on the “Properties” button, a window open

  • In the “Authentication” tab, click on “Settings”.
  • Uncheck the “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate” checkbox.

  • Make sure that the “Automatically use my Windows logon name an password” checkbox is unchecked.
  • Validate the two last open windows by clicking on “OK”.

  • Back on the “Authentication” tab, click on the “Additional parameters” button.
  • Check the option “Specify authentication mode”
  • From the drop-down menu, choose “User authentication” and then click on “Save credentials” and enter your MiNET login and password to register them.
  • Validate all the opened windows by clicking on “OK”.
Once all of these steps are done, you only have to plug in your Ethernet cable, and you should be automatically connected on the MiNET wired network. Take note that the authentication can take a few seconds. Sometimes, rebooting your pc is necessary.
